construction industry.
Our products are online calculators, created to support predominantly fire safety
compliance during the design process.
Legislation requires the use of a code of practice for fire safety in the design,
management and use of buildings. Current codes of practice include Approved Document
B (ADB) and since 2008 an improved, more flexible approach to fire safety - BS9999
which with wider application will eventually become the industry norm.
During the design stage of a new build, complex calculations are required in order
to comply with these codes of practice. These calculations are traditionally performed
manually, are extremely time consuming and open to interpretation with varying results.
Using an Online Standards calculator is quicker with consistent, accurate results
which can be verified by the enforcing authority. This allows innovation in design
